- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Oversight: Develop, manage and report on project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures. Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Risk Management: Identify commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure insurance, indemnities, and liabilities are appropriately managed.
- Bid and Tender Support: Provide commercial input for tenders and proposals, including pricing strategies, commercial terms, and risk assessments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, regulators, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Project Support: Support project delivery teams with commercial guidance throughout the project lifecyclefrom pre-construction to closeout.
- Reporting: Prepare regular commercial reports for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics, risks, and opportunities. Including leading to monthly CVR reporting meeting.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Manager, Quantity Surveying, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 57 years of experience in a commercial or project management role within the environmental, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, financial management, and risk analysis.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management and financial software tools.
- Professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, PMP, or equivalent).
- Experience with public sector or government-funded remediation projects.
- Familiarity with contracts such as NEC, FIDIC, or JCT contracts.
