An exciting job opportunity has arisen to join Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust's forward thinking, compassionate, family focused Specialist Infant Feeding team, who provide specialist support for families experiencing complex feeding challenges.


Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is committed to working in partnership with a number of key stakeholders and wider services to improve the health and well being of the population in Kent and the maintenance of the UNICEF Baby Friendly standards and progression towards Gold award.


We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about infant feeding and shares our vision to support families with their chosen method of feeding to develop close and loving relationships with their babies to facilitate brain development and attachment.


Breastfeeding Assistant Practitioners work under the direction of a Lactation Consultant to deliver packages of care to support breastfeeding babies and their families.


Staff are expected to travel to the Specialist Team hub in Maidstone on a daily basis and work across a number of settings, including community, group settings, virtual and over the phone.


We will support you to further develop your skills and knowledge in infant feeding and lactation and encouragement will be given to undertake further advanced study in lactation as required.


If you have had experience in giving advice to women and their families about infant feeding and are well versed in the Baby Friendly ethos and committed to giving excellent care we would like to hear from you.
