Description
We have a fantastic position for General Maintenance Operative (s) to join our clients team in the Wallsend area.
The position is for an immediate start and likely to be until 2025 and beyond. Possible permanent opportunities available.
Working Monday to Thursday - 07:30hrs - 17:00hrs and Friday 07:30hrs - 13:30hrs (42 hours per week)
£12.50 per hour - For the first 42 hours worked and approved
£13.75 per hour - In excess of 42 hours worked and approved
£18.76 per hour - Saturday & Sunday hours worked and approved
£25.01 per hour - Bank Holiday hours worked and approved
Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to for the maintenance Operative.
To carry out general routine maintenance tasks, such as minor plumbing, Painting, Roofing and Joinery tasks where required

Required to assist in other areas of the maintenance and facilities team when required, this could involve cleaning, general repair, and upkeep of welfare facilities (including toilets and canteens areas).

Maintain the grounds of the yard and surrounding areas so that the appearance of the yard is optimised, strimming, mowing, leaf clearance, weed killing and cutting back of bushes/trees.

To support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures within
the yard, conducting risk assessments where required.

As the General Maintenance Operative, you will have:
Previous experience within a maintenance or facilities role
Experience in roofing or carpentry is desirable (But not essential)
The ability to work alone or within a team environment
