An opportunity has arisen at RCHT to support the monitoring and audit of Estates & Facilities Services.The post holder will be a Performance & Compliance Monitoring Officer with day-to-day interface with managers in both Estates and Facilities, and the wider Trust.
This role is based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, however there will be a requirement to travel to other sites including West Cornwall Hospital and St Michael's Hospital.
You need to be able to demonstrate experience of audit and monitoring in Estates and Facilities, and have strong people skills to develop partnerships and provide challenge as well as a proven analytical capability to review Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and match these to on the ground experience.
As a Monitoring Officer support the Estates & Facilities management at RCHT in the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective estates and facilities services.
Individual and joint monitoring and auditing of the day-to-day delivery of Facilities (domestic services, patient meals, retail catering, linen, portering, switchboard and helpdesk, waste, post, and security), Car Parking and Estates Services.
To support the delivery of excellent key performance outcomes whilst ensuring that relevant services and the patient environment are safe, fit for purpose, cost efficient, effective and enhance patient care.
Be an in-house Facilities contact, ensuring issues not resolved by the service have a clear escalation route to the Deputy Directors of Facilities and Estates through the line management structure.
Ensure robust review mechanisms are adhered to and that all performance issues are followed in line with agreed performance matrix and stakeholders' expectations
To provide monitoring of KPIs for standing and ad-hoc facilities contracts such as Car Parking as required.
To support or carry-out ad-hoc surveys and audits of Facilities and Estates Services, in accordance with RCHT specific requirements.
Ensure that Trust staff are aware of service standards and specifications, as described on NHS documentation, Trust Policies and SLAs.
Assist innovations and service development.
Support the management in all aspects of service variation.
The Monitoring Officer will provide administrative and clerical support to include photocopying, word processing of correspondence and reports, update and maintenance of spreadsheets and taking of notes at meetings as required.
The post holder will be expected to use specific software packages for the monitoring and recording of audits and be able to interrogate such systems as required, update databases and use devices to record observations of the services being monitored or audited.
