Description
Contract to start ASAP until with a possible extension.


ROLE PURPOSE:

Work with the Development and Disposals Surveyor to identify development and disposals opportunities.


The Disposals surveyor will contribute to tracking information and reports as required to ensure that colleagues are fully briefed of progress with projects, timelines, and delivery dates.


Use professional expertise to provide valuations and identify options that maximise the capital receipt for the council and the benefit to local residents.


Provide technical advice on any land or property related restrictions or problems that could impede site development, giving options and recommendations for the resolution of any difficulties.

Be responsible for the marketing and sale of property or land assets that the client has decided to sell.


Responsibilities
Complete other reasonable tasks in order to fulfil role purpose or as instructed by management.


Provide advice on which method of sale is likely to achieve the highest value and/or quickest sale for the council depending on the nature of the specific site and/or scheme.

Provide advice on how best to market specific sites in order to achieve maximum value.


Provide advice on how best to overcome any difficulties associated with scheme development, whether through restrictions associated with the land or property, or any other issue that may impact marketing or disposal.


Support the Development and Disposals Surveyor in motivating and managing the team and where requested provide direct support and advice to other members of the team and support staff.
