Our client is looking for a Fundraising Officer to join their busy team
To increase funding streams and contribute towards organisational fundraising targets to enable the company to meet its strategic objectives and increase opportunities for developing new and existing projects.
The Fundraising Officer will support the Head of Business Development (HBD) to deliver their ambitious fundraising targets within the context of the fundraising strategy.
This role requires an ability to identify new funding opportunities, to produce professionallywritten and persuading content and to deliver results.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are vital, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
Location:
Fully remote with occasional travel to the office in London.
Salary:
up to £30,000 plus contributory pension 4% - 5%
Fundraising Officer Duties:
- Proactively identify charitable trusts and foundations to support their programmes, R&D activities and achieve fundraising income targets
- Support the HBD to produce compelling performance and evaluation reports for funders and other donors
- Fundraising administration including working with the Finance Officer to process income, expenditure, engaging with donors and other ongoing stewardship of fundraising relationships
- Maintain and keep up to date the bank of proposal templates for the company research and consultancy services
- Support the Services team in the development of professionally written proposals
- Use the CRM system to monitor and track the progress of proposals, reporting key success metrics to the HBD and keeping donor records up to date.
Fundraising Officer Requirements:
- A minimum of 1years' experience of working in the UK trust and foundation market either on the grantmaking or grant receiving side.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience in creating persuasive and compelling fundraising propositions
- Track record of meeting fundraising targets
- The ability to build strong and lasting relationships and work collaboratively across teams
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
Desirable:
- Experience identifying new and appropriate funders for projects
- Experience of working with corporate partnerships and or major donors
- Knowledge of the UK social housing sector either professionally or through lived experience.
