This is an exciting role in a fast-growing area of our Everyday Banking Division (EDB), where you'll be working in a friendly and collaborative team.

The role will actively drive the development and delivery of the strategic agenda for EDB at a European level, through a varied range of elements, which include:

  • Play a key role in shaping the European agile operating model for EDB, and deliver the implementation of the Regional Business Owner (RBO) model.
  • Coordinate the definition and prioritisation of EDB's European Strategic pipeline.
  • Coordination of the execution of shortmedium term initiatives across the 4 geographies (UK, Spain, Portugal and Poland).
  • Development and management of the governance framework, enabling an efficient and agile decisionmaking process, and ensuring actions are executed within agreed time frames and standards.


In exchange, you'll be part of a central, decision-making part of our business, with exposure to a wide range of stakeholders (national and international) as well as Senior management at Santander UK and One Europe.


The difference you'll make
:


  • Managing a portfolio of prioritised European projects and the RBO transformation agenda for EDB
  • Working with product teams in designing innovative value propositions across the EDB portfolio at European level with tailored features to maximise impact across each European market
  • Developing project plans, frameworks, and solutions to be presented at senior management forums (Europe EXCO, Board, SMC)
  • Providing senior management with strategic insight to complex situations, resolving risk/issues,
  • Coordinating, defining, and production of the function's long term (35 year) plan and the target operating model

What you'll bring
:


  • Proven experience in consulting or investment banking firms or similar roles within a large corporate
  • Ability to extract key, actionable information from complex, unstructured sources of data; build clear presentations with a welldefined storyline and structure; and present and defend findings from analysis in a clear and articulate manner.

It would also be nice for you to have
:


  • MBA or equivalent degree
  • Good working knowledge or Fluent in a second European language
  • Broad knowledge of Financial Services industry and competitor and industry trends
  • Proven diagnostic, problem solving and analytical skills, as well as Power Point skills

What else you need to know.
We will be conducting all interviews via telephone or videoconference where possible.
This role will be based primarily in Milton Keynes with flexibility to agree remote working patterns where needed. It may also require travel to attend meetings in London or in other parts of the UK.
