Kennedys is looking for a Claims Handler to join their Commercial Claims Handling team. The Claims Handler's primary responsibility will involve managing cyber claims for a number of well-known insurers.They will be responsible for assessing policy coverage and working closely with breach response counsel, policy holders, brokers and other vendors as well as reporting to underwriters.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team with excellent long term progression opportunities.You will be able to work from home frequently with travel to the Taunton office at least once a month for our team anchor day.

We deal with a wide class of business types which include; Solicitors' Professional Indemnity, Architects and other Construction Professionals, Accountants, Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs), Medical Malpractice, Cyber, Legal Expenses, Latent Defects, Before the Event/After the Event (BTE/ATE) claims and many more.
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage a caseload of cyber notifications acting on behalf of cyber insurers and their insureds.
- Dealing with a wide variety of cyber notifications to include, ransomware, data protection, security breaches and other first party cyber claims.
- To be responsible for assessing policy coverage and reporting to Insurers and underwriters where appropriate.
- Handling claims within and outside scheme set delegated authorities.
- To keep up to date with cyber trends, emerging cyber trends and cyber risks in the market.
- To use the Claims Handling Team's electronic case management system for all claims.
Required experience
- Claims handling experience or alternatively paralegal experience (preferably gained at a defendant insurance law firm or within the insurance market).
- Some experience of cyber claims/cyber claims handling is essential but on the job training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proven organisational skills with a proactive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail.
