    The Role:

    • Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, setting clear objectives and targets. Foster a high-performance culture that drives results and encourages innovation.
    • Strategic Sales Activity: Develop, implement, and personally deliver comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. Identify and capitalize on new revenue opportunities across broadcast, sponsorship, and digital media.
    • Client Acquisition: Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including broadcasters, brands, and digital platforms. Identify and engage potential new clients, delivering tailored sales pitches that align with their needs and objectives.
    • Contract Negotiation: Working with the retained sports marketing agency, lead high-level negotiations with existing and potential partners, securing favorable terms that maximize revenue and align with the company's strategic goals.
    • Revenue Growth: Drive the achievement of sales targets, ensuring that revenue goals are met or exceeded. Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
    • Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, pipeline development, and market insights. Use data-driven analysis to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

    Requirements:

    • Extensive experience in a senior sales role within the sports industry, ideally with a sports rights holder, broadcaster, or sponsorship sales.
    • Deep understanding of the sports rights commercial and sales market.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a sales team.
    • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
    • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term sales plans that align with broader business objectives.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
