We are recruiting a highly motivated and resourceful Maths tutor to deliver Maths programmes as part of our Multiply delivery.
This Project aims to help people improve their ability to understand and use Maths in daily life, home, and work: improving household finances, helping children with homework, making more sense of the facts in the media, or improving numeracy skills specific to a line of work.
To achieve this, the Multiply Project offers a range of options and flexible courses that fit around people's lives and are tailored to specific needs, circumstances, sectors, and industries.
Duties
- Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: _
- Work cooperatively with partners and delivery staff to develop the Multiply interventions
- Deliver the Multiply interventions to participants and manage the associated portfolios, paperwork and assessment materials
- Adapt lesson plans and resources to provide a tailored programme of delivery that leads to positive outcomes
- Flexibility to deliver the Multiply interventions across the county of Derbyshire.
- Hold a Teaching Qualification or equivalent (e.g. CTLLS, PTTLS, AET)
- Proven experience of teaching maths from Entry Level 1 through to Level
- Possess excellent organisational and time management skills
- ICT literate to intermediate level and confident in using the Office 365 suite, including: Access, Word, PowerPoint & Excel
- Fluent in the English language
- Proven track record of meeting challenging contractual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets
- Possess high level communication, interpersonal and presentational skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the local labour market, sector skills gaps, local employment & skills provision, specialist support networks, and education & training providers
- Previous experience of delivering engaging and meaningful learning activities and training workshops within an employment and skills sector
