Role Overview


To assist the HR Business Partner in carrying out all generalist HR activities including, but not limited to; providing effective advisory HR support to our managers and employees; supporting with project work; sickness absence monitoring, induction process, performance management, exit interviews, general HR queries, policy guidance, case management, the upkeep of our records, administration and reports.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Advisory support

  • To work with the business to provide effective, accurate and timely professional HR advice and support to key stakeholders/line managers, ensuring guidance is in line with our policies, employment law and best practice. This relates to all people related matters, including performance management, absence management, welfare and employee relations issues. Complex matters are to be escalated to the HR Business Partner.
  • To respond to HR queries and manage all aspects across the employee lifecycle and support the HR Business Partner and Finance Director with their business responsibilities.
  • To support and build capability in line managers to manage the employment relationship effectively and guide managers on company policies and procedures as required.
  • To proactively maintain up to date knowledge of current and new employment legislation
Casework

  • To work with the HR Business Partner to provide commercially focused advice and support to Managers on employee relations issues.
  • To support change initiatives, including acquisitions, restructures, redundancies, TUPE, redeployment and office closures if applicable
  • To act as an ambassador for the business, the role will involve working on your own initiative and being proactive in the daytoday management of employees to enable the business to manage effectively.
Projects

  • To support the Finance Director and HR Business Partner with any HR related project accordingly
Other

  • Produce HR reports and statistics as required
  • To assist with the maintenance of accurate data stored accessibly within our records including MHR, ensuring GDPR compliance
  • To assist with the upkeep of uptodate job descriptions ensuring accuracy and availability
  • To assist with Standard Operating Procedures and templates in line with branding guidelines
  • Manage staff absence and assist as required with returntowork interviews.
  • Build strong professional effective relationships with key stakeholders with regular professional liaison and establish yourself as a credible advisor.
  • To work closely with the HR team to ensure the business receives an efficient and highquality service
  • To conduct/assist with exit interviews and trends as and when required.

Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience

  • HR degree educated (or related field qualification equivalent), or equivalent experience
  • CIPD status (Associate member minimum)
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Strong HR System experience (MHR preferred)
  • Proficient in administrative tasks, including recordkeeping, data entry and document management. Must have high attention to detail

Microsoft Office:
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint to analyse data, present findings, analyse data, reports and graph presentation to a high level of accuracy and with attention to detail

  • Proficient experience as a HR Advisor with a proven track record of delivering highquality, tailored HR Support. Experience of working in Professional services is preferable
  • Must have an up to date understanding of employment law and HR Best Practice.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivery of HR projects and initiatives
