Position:
Macmillan Welfare Benefits Caseworker

Location:
South Lakeland

Actual Salary:
£12,254 depending on experience, plus 3% pension. Pay review is pending.

Hours: 18.5 per week.

Base location:
Either at our Kendal or Ulverston office

Closing date: 3 January 2023 at 12 Noon

Interview Date:
Week commencing 9 January. Date and time to be confirmed.

The Welfare Benefits Caseworker will work with the Macmillan team, and support team, to deliver comprehensive, quality and accessible welfare benefits advice service.

The postholder will provide the service through a variety of channels at either of our offices, the person's home, within the hospital setting and/or other venues across the district.

This post is funded by Macmillan Cancer Support and is part of a county-wide contract.

The successful postholder will work alongside our part time Welfare Benefits Caseworker to deliver a quality Welfare Benefits advice service for people living and affected by Cancer.

Some of the hours may be worked from home.

We are looking for someone with
- experience of providing Welfare Benefits advice;
- the ability to work sensitively with clients and family members;
- good communication skills;
- experience of delivering a service to quality standards, deadlines and targets.
