Do you have a minimum 1 year of purchasing experience, or at least 2 years within Supply Chain team? Are you looking to join an energetic and high-paced business as a Buyer and Procurement Project Co-ordinator? This role will cover areas from purchase processing to vendor selection and management, to liaise with engineers, logistics, warehousing, and compliance, to ensure that we give the best customer service.

Haygrove Ltd supply complex projects, globally, of polytunnel components and technology.

The supply chain considers many factors into sourcing the supply chain route to be best in class in terms of quality of product and service.

We are a Service and Supply Chain team that values our customers internally and externally whilst bringing efficiency and energy.

Our main UK distribution warehouse in Herefordshire holds an average of £3m+ stock, to consolidate and distribute products whilst also working in partnership with manufacturers to supply parts directly in the UK and beyond to meet our project deadlines.

Key accountabilities of the role
Manage supplier relationships and take on responsibilities of a Buyer within a Merchandising/ Distribution Business.

Covering all aspects to receive goods on time in full which will involve lead time management and supplier order progressing.

Working with suppliers to align and improve servicing requirements that will include efficient movement of goods compliantly for UK import and export sales markets.


Principle responsibilities

  • Closely manage and maintain positive and constructive relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Conduct quarterly supplier reviews collating KPI metrics on key supplier's performance, negotiations on service and costs to meet company strategies and objectives.
  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders on processes, following procedures to ensure there is sufficient cashflow, payment terms, stock holding, packaging, handling, and compliance to ensure timely and costeffective execution of customer orders.
  • Place POs with suppliers and monitor these through to delivery.
  • Support new part introduction, following controlled processes.
  • Daily system updates to maintain system integrity such as Vendor card management and pricing breaks.
  • To be able to review and conclude invoice Queries sent by Accounts.
  • Sourcing favourable duties for end customers
  • Complete RFQ requests from Sales Managers
  • Sales Project reviews for best supply to meet deadlines and commercial viability.
  • Costing tables and benchmarking exercises testing rigor in best practice on supply routes.
  • Planning function of Inventory coming in considering quantity and arrival date vs Sales demand /Stock Safety levels /Cashflow whilst maintaining consideration for DSI target.
  • New Supplier introduction following controlled processes including QC and Ethical Audits
  • Create, develop, and support SLAs with suppliers, ensuring they meet the business' needs.
  • Raising, actioning, investigating supplier discrepancies relating to your commodities.
  • Write Supplier Agreements/ Service agreements.
  • Upkeep, renew or update commodity strategies.
  • Monthly Review of KPI tool queries.
  • To be able to outline and execute a cost saving plan on commodities where cost saving needs are identified.
