Psychologist Pay Rate:
£36 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Clinical Psychologist:


  • Provide specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychometric tests, selfreport measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semistructured interviews with client's family members and others involved in the client's care
  • Evaluate and make decisions on psychological treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group
  • Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment, delivery of interventions, evaluation and discharge of clients
  • Support the MDT with specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation
  • Manage a caseload exercising appropriate clinical and organisational judgement so as to ensure high standards in the provision of care

Requirements of the Clinical Psychologist:


  • Psychologists must be registered and accredited members of the BACP. (Registered Member MBACP (Accred) or Registered Member MBACP (Snr Accred).)
  • Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration.
  • Recent experience working as a psychologist in the UK.
  • Postqualification training in assessment and intervention models in one or more of the following: CBT for Psychosis and Family Interventions for Psychosis
