The function of the post is to provide a comprehensive administrative service to assist in the smooth running of a community nursing team, accessing several IT systems and have a very good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office.


The post holder should be able to prioritise their own workload to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in delivering objectives whilst working with mínimal supervision.

Being proactive and able to demonstrate good organisational skills and excellent communication skills both in verbal and written correspondence.

The role is varied and requires confidentiality, initiative, flexibility and capability of working under pressure and to deadlines. Also an ability to relate to a very wide range of organizations and individuals within and outside the Trust.


Adhering to policies and procedures, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all information concerning patients and staff at all times in accordance with Caldicott Guidance and Data Protection Act 1998.

  • Provide a full clerical and administrative support service to the Community Nursing Team and support the Operational Lead with administrative duties, working independently responding to correspondence/enquiries.
  • To be professionally accountable and responsible for all aspects of own work.
  • To cleanse data from the various IT systems and review weekly validation data.
  • Supervision participate in regular supervision to support own continuous professional development.


  • Performance and Quality

  • To collect, correlate and input statistical information as required within agreed timescales, ordering of stock and access to the procurement systems
  • Daily support with Online Non Prescription Ordering Service and maintain stock levels
