The role
The Solution Designer is responsible for developing proposed solutions through engagement with business units and bid team. Determining the optimal solution for the project, whilst understanding what we can offer.

Solutions must be developed in conjunctionwith the wider team and be both technically excellent and compelling to a prospective or existing customer.

Creating and leading solution design processes to meet the organisation's needs and develop a winning proposition
Support the Winning Work Team in the communication and negotiation of potential solutions; by working closely with the Proposals Managers, Estimators, relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Business Unit operations leads
Develop close relationships with key internal stakeholders
Work closely with and support the Estimating team to ensure pricing and supply chain strategy is consistent with solution design
Take ownership of the entire operational solution within the tender, from initial draft proposals to final handover to the Contract Manager
Produce visual representations of the proposed delivery model and associated organisational structures
Lead internal meetings and workshops related to solution design and cost preparation
The ability to quickly identify risks and mitigations within potential solutions
Evaluating any project constraints and devising alternatives to reduce risks, whilst performing solution re-engineering
Keeping stakeholders updated about the status of the solution development and budgets, and notifying them immediately when issues arise
Assisting Proposals Managers with Project Management in determining proposal, pricing and solution strategies
Maintain bid-management content, collateral and digital tools - making sure all information is properly monitored and reviewed
Liaise with a wide variety of internal support function to ensure the most up to date and relevant responses to tender questions
Remain focused on the final product and submitting winning profitable bids

Could this be for you?
Min 5 years' experience of working in an operational management or bid lead role. Experience of developing technical solutions for hard FM (essential), soft FM (desirable)
APMP and/or IWFM
HND or Degree Level qualification in Project Management, FM or Technical discipline
