Target Fixings is looking for a highly motivated individual to join its accounting team.

Target is a family-owned high-end structural repair group working in the construction industry, manufacturing and installing specialist construction materials, including Bar Flex helical bar and the Heli Pile foundation system.

Target's accounts team is responsible for the bookkeeping, accounting and payroll functions within the group and franchise operation, including handling and processing sales and purchase invoices.

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper or an accounts clerk looking to progress.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accounts for multiple limited companies
Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
Paying supplier invoices and reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
Credit control
Forming strong relationships with suppliers and customers who are essential to our business
Completing VAT returns
Recording any inconsistencies to the accountants to reconcile inaccuracies
Producing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheet
Dealing with payroll and month end journals
Managing employee expense claims
Preparing monthly management accounts
Trial balance sheet and profit & loss
Helping to prepare year end accounts
Training franchisees on accountancy software
Dealing with franchisee queries

Requirements:

Qualified AAT (level 3) is preferable but not essential
3 years experience in an accounting role
Open to learning new systems and processes
Proactive: ability to manage deadlines and own work flow.

Job Types:

Salary:
£25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
