4 day working week (3 day weekend every week)

8am to 6pm pm Tuesday to Friday


This is a new role and a great opportunity to join the Sales team of a busy contract packing company based in Needham Market, Suffolk, working for a variety of business sectors.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:


Assisting the Sales Manager by maintaining the sales department's connection with the company's customer base, the sales and customer services teams.


You will be responsible for creating new sales quotations and liaising with customers and suppliers, you will also provide high quality administrative support to the Sales Manager to assist the department in meeting the company's overall sales targets.


Main Job Duties:


Sales Administration

  • You will be responsible for the accurate pricing and quoting function for the Sales Department
  • Develop and maintain a high level of communication with customers regarding status of outstanding quotations
  • Develop and maintain cost and list prices matrices to deliver consistent and timely customer quotations.
  • Process quote requests in a timely manner, keeping the CRM system up to date, producing and managing quotation folders
  • Make and despatch product samples for new and existing customers as required
  • Negotiate and build relationships with preferred suppliers for new customer product requirements
  • Ensure the quotation log is kept up to date and current
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure sales enquiries and customer queries are handled efficiently and effectively
  • Assist in creating production paperwork for new work won and then handing the production paperwork to the Purchasing/Sales Administrator for completion.
  • Manage follow up diary and report weekly updates to the Sales Manager
  • Responsible for creating production paperwork including the job specification, for existing & new jobs when required and in the absence of the Purchasing/Sales Administrator
  • Working closely with production on delays to ensure accurate information is received to be communicated to customers (i.e. any delays) to ensure dispatch deadlines are achieved
  • Liaising with customer and suppliers to ensure a timely delivery of components for upcoming packing slots
  • Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with customer complaints, providing the appropriate information to allow the QAM to follow up with the customer within agreed timelines to ensure a resolution
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction remains a priority
  • Produce reports and data analysis when required
  • Ad hoc administrative duties as required
