IT Support Engineer - Birmingham


A family-owned engineering & Manufacturing company established for 40+ years with 80+ headcount is seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their in house IT division responsible for bringing their IT back in house from their current IT Managed Servicesprovider, you will be working with the IT Manager to maintain, troubleshoot and continually evolve the companies Infrastructure estate.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced 2nd line IT Support Engineer with experience in Supporting O365 & Windows Server looking for the opportunity with work with Azure, Cloud based technologies (training will be provided) and gain exposure to ITProject implementations with a growing business who are investing in the transformation of their IT Infrastructure Estate


Responsibilities:


  • Be the first point of contact for all support requests across all sites.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
  • Implement, Plan and coordinate security measures to protect all company IP, data, software, and Hardware.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager on a permanent/temporary basis.
  • Requirements
Prior IT Support Experience in 2nd line IT Support

  • Windows Server


  • Office 36

  • Vmware
  • Windows Deployment Services
  • Windows 10/11
Desirable

  • Azure
  • Experience with IT Projects (Implementation)
  • Microsoft Dynamics
  • Microsoft SQL Server
