Level definition

Leader tasked with delivering results that make a significant contribution to a department or project delivery.

Responsible for delivering operational plans and setting day-to-day team objectives or acts independently to deliver the business policies and programmes within a defined specialist area.

Resolves day-to-day issues/escalation points.
Key responsibilities

Operations Team Leader with significant impact on the success of the operations.

  • Ensures a healthy, inclusive and safe working environment, and safety mindset.
  • Ensure quality and food safety within in own area of responsibility, and quality and food safety mindset
  • Leads and manages LCO Team (Core Team and Line Teams) to jointly improve line performance (using LEAN tools, APS, SPC, OEE), and is accountable for Continuous Improvements in LCO area
  • Responsible for KPI development including safety, quality, delivery, productivity & sustainability
  • Responsible for competency development in LCO Team, including enable and coach LCO Team members on the basis of Our Leadership and Our Character.
  • Responsible for optimization and resource planning on cooperation with internal stakeholders, follow up and reporting
  • Ensures an efficient and stable operations process anchored in KPI fulfilment based on team performance.
  • Implements and execute the local business plan within area of responsibility.
  • Ensures that the department complies with Arla Foods' standards and policies as well as the applicable law
  • Cooperates and coordinates with e.g. Maintenance & Engineering to proactively optimise performance of Operations
  • Financial understanding and work within the framework set by corporate finance within own area of responsibility
  • Administrates practical necessities such as safety equipment, scheduling, recruitment and salaries.
  • Leads the work of having a diverse, flexible workforce to secure optimal shift planning and coverage of absence.
  • Administrates health & safety talks and rehab processes.

Educational background/Experience

  • Dairy Technician, Dairy Technologist or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of production experience.
  • English according to Arla level requirements
