The Professional Services team as part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering provide a wide range of support services to academic colleagues, central professional services and our student body.

Whether part of the Executive Support, Student Services, Project Support or Resources team, we work together to provide a first rate, friendly and effective service to our colleagues and students.

The Student Services team provide an integrated, high quality and professional service, which advises, guides and supports the efficient and effective delivery of our programme of activities across the Faculty.


The Faculty of Science and Engineering is wishing to appoint a Placement Administrator to join our outstanding Professional services team.

This role will provide administrative support for the Professional Placement portfolio linked to the School of Pharmacy as a priority and support the administrative functions aligned to other professional placement provision while contributing to the achievements of the wider team.

We are looking for a positive, proactive individual who are able to work together with the wider team, enabling the faculty to grow and succeed both now and in the future.

You will be an excellent communicator with experience in dealing with highly sensitive or confidential information.

You will be able to work independently or as part of a team, managing competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the effective management of the student placement activity as required.
  • Advising the Senior Management Team on effective placement administration, highlighting trends and providing commentary/ recommendations, writing reports as required
  • Collect relevant data from placement areas in order to arrange payments for placement activity and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
  • To input, maintain and ensure accurate, uptodate placement records on SITS of student placement activity for the faculty, including extracting data and running reports when required
  • Ensure the effective administration of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and other requirements as deemed appropriate by the Funding Body or University.
