Description

Our vision:

As a charity, we aim to breathe fresh life into the Brighton & Hove Jewish community and provide outstanding facilities and cultural events for everyone in the city to enjoy.

Our mission:

Our state-of-the-art community centre will provide facilities for residential, educational, cultural, religious, social and co-working.

By building a brand-new synagogue, outstanding kosher dining options and programming cultural events and classes, we aim to support Jewish life in Brighton, across the spectrum.

We aim to put the outstanding seaside city of Brighton & Hove back on the Jewish map and attract the Jewish community from all backgrounds to call Brighton & Hove their home.

Our inclusive and diverse community will welcome people of all faiths and no faiths to make use of our outstanding facilities.

When we open our doors in early 2023, BNJC will add to the vibrancy and diversity of Brighton & Hove to become a community hub for all to enjoy.

The site:

The site is comprised of 'residential', 'commercial' and communal areas. The residential side has 35 apartments and 10 Mews houses, giving it a capacity of over 100 residents.

The commercial facilities include:

a Gym, Kosher restaurant, Co-working office, an event space which can fit into two rooms, a Synagogue, two classrooms and a Nursery.

The communal areas include the outside courtyard, the corridors, and the stair cores.
