To cover shift operator holidays and absences when required therefore you MUST be Flexible to cover any shift

Responsible for the processing of barley into malt as per appropriate Work Instructions. This includes operating plant and equipment as trained to instigate each of the processes associated with the production of malt e.g. Steeping, Germination and Kilning
Undertake process checks and samples throughout the production process in accordance with Work Instructions & Batch Cards
Ensure the transfer of the grain between different process locations at the relevant cycles time and stage of the process
Ensure that the appropriates steps and processes are undertake to maximise First Time Right (FTR) & output.
Ensure that any issues that impact FTR are highlighted and addressed
Ensure that food safety protocols are adhered to, reporting to line management, any potential / actual issues that may impact the safety of raw materials and / or finished product
To adhere to the sites' "clean as you go" requirement and to undertake cleaning / hygiene activities as directed and if trained to do
Ensure that there is a comprehensive (i.e. documented) handover to other operators at shift handover times.
Work closely with other departments (e.g. Hygiene and Engineering) to ensure that the plant is running efficiently and agreed standards of hygiene & housekeeping are maintained.

Must have transport due to location

£ £15.57 per hour + company benefits, bonus scheme, holidays
