Senior Communications Officer
(a charity committed to community transformation)
Permanent, full-time post, 40 hours per week, inclusive of breaks
Salary:
£31,689 - £33,124
per annum (Including London Weighting) + pension
Hybrid:
London office-based for a minimum of two days per week. Some travel around the UK will also be required.

Oasis exists to create healthy thriving communities and reduce exclusion, through a holistic and Christ-centred approach to community development and social innovation.
We are also working in reducing homelessness, the prevention of human trafficking, and the creation of the UK's first secure school, Oasis Restore.
Oasis' work and mission has grown rapidly in the last decade.We are looking to recruit a Senior Communications Officer who will help us to consolidate our brand profile, engage new partners and individuals in the Oasis movement, and build our capacity to successfully campaign for social and policy change.
The postholder will work with the COO and with other members of the Communications/Fundraising team.You will be confident working in print, digital, and visual media; enjoy putting creative ideas and stories together; and able to pay attention to detail and see ideas through to completion.
Some of the specific duties of this role will include:- Researching and generating story content (editorial, photos, video) and campaigns to underpin the Oasis brand, develop our key messages, and capture audience attention
- Commissioning content and design work from external agencies
- Managing joint mailboxes and responding to press enquiries, providing support for media opportunities and interviews
- Working with our local Oasis (Hub) teams to develop their own communication plans and social media profiles
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Strong writing skills and editorial ability, with an eye for detail
- Ability to reflect the Oasis ethos and values
- Experience of working in a communications role, preferably in a charity environment
