About Our Client:


With finance based in Poole, our client are an exciting media and agency brand, offering bespoke marketing campaigns across the UK.

The business is growing, paving the way for an accounts assistant to join the ranks.


Accounts Assistant role:

  • Responsible for the accounts receivable function from raising and issuing invoices
  • Ensure customer contact details are up to date in Xero
  • Responsible for the accounts payable function, processing supplier invoices, matching invoices to orders
  • Invoices to be matched against correct nominal codes, campaign code and that VAT is properly accounted for
  • Use DEXT to code and publish invoices to Xero
  • Reconcile Bank, Invoice Finance and Credit Card accounts in Xero
  • Update employee details in Bright HR
  • Update employee details in Xero payroll
  • Run the monthly payroll from Xero
  • Upload employee monthly pension contributions for Workplace Pension Scheme
  • In DEXT code and create monthly expense reports for employees who have uploaded receipts to claim back
  • Publish expense reports to Xero
  • Assist the Financial Controller in the production of the monthly Management Accounts and campaign analysis

The Successful Applicant:


Accounts Assistant:

  • Completed AAT
  • At least 3 years finance experience in performing day to day finance function
  • Competent user of Xero
  • Competent Excel user/experience of pivot tables
  • Working in a team and independently
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Problem solver and able to work accurately at fast pace

What's on Offer:

£25k-£30k DoE
