The role:


As part of expansion of our footprints in Financial Risk offerings, we are hiring specialist Model Risk Management (MRM) consultants with prior practical experience in providing consulting services.


  • Support Wipro risk leaders in MRM offerings for BFSI clients
  • Participate in transformation programmes involving changes to MRM practices to define model risk appetite, policies, procedures and technology implementations
  • Build or validate models (credit or market risk models) with ability to work effectively with model development, validation teams
  • Modelling and validation experience across different products or portfolios will be an advantage
  • Work with Wipro leadership team to publish point of views on MRM
  • Providing technical guidance and interpretation of prudential regulations related to MRM from PRA and other European regulators
  • Work effectively as part of broader Wipro and client project teams to support our clients manage their regulatory programmes
  • Lead and manage teams and individuals to support meeting client demands as well as people development, mentoring and leadership

Key Skills, Competencies & Experience:


  • Technical understanding of Credit Risk:
  • Regulatory definition of Model vs Methods and Model Risk Appetite
  • Model risk rating and relevant metrics to quantify model risk for various models types (risk models, pricing / valuation models, finance models)
  • Model Risk Management Governance and Reporting
  • Model Life Cycle management including knowledge of Technology Solutions and key functionalities to support model life cycle management
  • Significant knowledge of the financial services industry and in particular leading industry practices around model risk management
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to nonexpert audiences
  • Programming Skills
  • Advanced skills with modelling software such as SAS, Python and R in cloud
  • Knowledge of use of Machine Learning techniques in MRM would be an advantage
  • Consulting Skills:
  • Prior experience working in a reputed consulting firms (e.g., Big 4) or with modelling or model validation teams with global banks
  • Proactive and delivery focused with excellent communication skills and organised approach to completing activities and deliverables
  • Able to confidently present ideas to inform and influence leadership decisions
  • Strong facilitation skills to elicit information from key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Proven and demonstrable analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to think laterally and generate creative solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and delivery focused attitude
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, recognise and prioritise deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, completing tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ability to form and develop an effective network.
