Our friendly team at Meallmore are looking for a
Housekeeping/ Laundry Assistant to be part of the team in Alderwood House Care Home.

Alderwood House is a purpose-built mental health care home in Dumbarton offering personalised nursing care to adults enduring or recovering from a mental disorder.

The purpose-built Alderwood House is a stunning facility offering care for vulnerable people with mental health needs. With a strong focus on restoring confidence and enabling residents to live as independently as possible.


Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career.


Your role as a Meallmore Housekeeping Assistant will include:

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitisation of resident rooms, common areas, and facilities to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Handle laundry and ensure proper handling of residents' personal items.
  • Restock and maintain supplies in resident rooms and common areas.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to protect the health of our residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and staff to meet their needs and address any concerns.
  • Daily completion of cleaning schedules and documents

Skills and Requirements:


  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Salary:
£ overtime rates + benefits
