SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you looking to start a career in education?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting full time SEN Teaching Assistants for schools in Carmartenshire and surrounding areas. We are looking for teaching assistants to offer 1:1 support to identified pupils as well as general classroom support.

This vacancy is open to Students, Graduates, Healthcare Workers, Support Workers, Counsellors, Youth Workers, Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, and those with personal experience of managing Autism, Mental Health, and ChallengingBehaviour.

Person Specification

Desire and willing to work 1:1 with children with learning difficulties
Be able to deescalate challenging behaviour and learning the pupil's triggers
Confident, resilient, and empathetic
Understand the importance of teamwork
Have the vision, skills, and energy to provide the best opportunity for every child

Teaching Personnel can offer you a wide range of CPD courses in SEN, to support you in your career. Courses include Teaching Assistant Diplomas, Child Psychology and Understanding Autism.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
