Description

Due to the ongoing expansion of our operations, we're on the lookout for a Warehouse supervisor to join our team in Plymouth.

This role sits within our Interior Solutions team and isn't your normal warehouse role.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse supervisor to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient storage and dispatch of our goods, support of our fitters and communicate effectively with customer services, planners and suppliers.


Schedule
:
Monday - Friday, 7am -4pm


Requirements
:
Full, Clean manual driving license.


Key Responsibilities:


As a
Warehouse supervisor your responsibilities will include:


  • Managing and booking in deliveries
  • Space management, workflow and stock takes
  • Collation, locating and cross checking of orders
  • Using lifting equipment or machines to move stock and build orders ready for loading. (A forklift license would be an advantage)
  • Upholding high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security
  • Supervising installers, including tools, resource, training, holiday and sickness and managing cover.
  • Resolving day to day issues, improving productivity and efficiently processing returns.
  • Liaising with planners and using the Furniture schedule system
  • Communicating with internal departments to ensure compliance, including transport, traffic and QHSE
  • Processing documentation, delivery notes, fitters' drawings, and any other associated paperwork.
  • Accurately inputting stock and inventory data into the computerized system
  • Ensuring all relevant paperwork is up to date, drivers are located securely, and are compliant.
  • Loading goods for dispatch

Key Skills and Behaviors:


The successful
Warehouse Supervisor should possess:


  • Experience in a warehouse lead role, with skills in supervising small teams
  • A good standard of general education this role sits in the warehouse and is very hands on as well as supervisory and administratively based.
  • A handson approach with the ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle queries over the phone and face to face.
  • Reliable, approachable, flexible, with a good sense of humour.
  • The capacity to work calmly and accurately under pressure.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Initiative and strong problemsolving skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues in various departments.
