Description

We are currently looking for a Laboratory Services Technician to join a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in the Hertfordshire area.

As the Laboratory Services Technician you will be responsible for providing a centralised support service to theTechnical Department within Good Laboratory Practice.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Laboratory Services Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • To carry out sample collections and complete initial log in as required.
  • To perform and maintain procedures to ensure effective treatment and disposal of laboratory waste according to SOP's.
  • To perform and maintain procedures to prepare, dispense and sterilise media according to SOP's.
  • Operate autoclaves and appropriate equipment as and when required.
  • To assist with the organisation of Control Laboratory Central Store, whilst carrying out stock controls and ordering as required.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of GLP and SOP's.
  • Knowledge of various computer data analysis, laboratory equipment and reagents.
