The opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Surveyor to join a successful, expanding valuation team.
Sitting within a wider Development department, this is a well-established team experienced at providing 'Red Book' valuations on development andresidential properties for a range a purposes and a variety of clients including banks, landowners, private individuals, housing associations and the public sector.
The role will involve working across the Savills wider business including the development division, planning, residential development sales and residential capital markets.
It is key that this person will have a strong interest in growing the business and seekingnew opportunities, including managing existing client relationships, targeting new business and building a professional network.
We are looking for someone who has the capability to manage a varied workload, who is confident, commercially focused and enjoys engaging with clients and colleagues.
**The Role & Key Responsibilities**Key activities:- Valuation of development land and residential properties
- Development appraisals in a valuation and consultancy capacity
- Autonomy to investigate, negotiate and report independently
- Supported and encouraged to cultivate own pipeline of work and income stream
- Ability to delegate work to and manage more junior staff
- Engagement with wider department and office
- Represent the team at business development meetings and events
Technical
- MRICS qualified and Registered Valuer
- At least 2 years postqualification experience (PQE)
- Proficient in the relevant software, particularly Argus Developer and Ms Excel
- Good working knowledge of the development and planning system
- Good research skills and due diligence interrogation
- Team player: builds relationships and consults with others, quickly establishes trust and credibility
- Capable of business generation
- High attention to detail
- Clear and accurate written and verbal communication
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good knowledge of relevant property markets
- Knowledge of the development sector
- Confident and personable
- Highly organised and able to manage own workload**Type of Assessment for this role**:
