The Division

Capsticks is a market leader in the field of clinical negligence, with specialist clinical negligence defence solicitors advising on the resolution of clinical negligence claims, management of complaints and serious incident investigations, together with an innovative outsourcing service for claims' handling.

We have an outstanding record of defending and resolving clinical negligence claims for healthcare providers, particularly catastrophic injury claims, and have been involved in many of the key cases in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Capsticks are NHS Resolution panel members for its Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) and Clinical Negligence Scheme for General Practice (CNSGP).

We represent NHS acute, community, mental health and ambulance trusts, GPs, independent sector providers, insurers of private hospitals and clinics, individual healthcare practitioners and sports clubs.

We are consistently ranked in the top tier of the Legal 500 and Chambers UK directories.

The breadth of our experience and expertise has given us a unique awareness of the political, social, financial and reputational contexts in which the healthcare sector operates and the potential impact on our clients.

The Role and Responsibilites

Capsticks is expanding its personal injury team and are looking for applicants to be part of its growing casualty team.

The role will predominantly involve the handling of cases on behalf of NHS Trusts and a number of insurer clients.

You will manage your own caseload of EL and PL pre-litigation and litigated claims of mainly Fast Track and low value Multi track cases, as well as assisting on higher value and more complex claims.

It would also be beneficial if you have experience in dealing with Human Rights and data breach cases.

We are looking for someone who has a proven ability to assess legal liability, causation and damages and the need for investigation.

Skills and Experience

Capsticks is committed to recruiting the best people to maintain its status as legal adviser of choice and there are good opportunities for advancement within the group including the opportunity for business and practice development.

This is a great opportunity to join a driven market leading firm.

Capsticks is an inclusive employer

At Capsticks we value diversity and we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive working environment where everyone is able to be themselves and reach their full potential.

Capsticks is committed to providing equal opportunities for all and therefore we welcome the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of your education, background, culture, ethnicity, race, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, neurodiversity, religion and beliefs.
