Job Title:
Fitter


Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and assembly of structural steel components
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit steel components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Align and fit steel components using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, and other methods
• Weld or bolt steel components together according to specifications
• Inspect and verify the quality of finished products to ensure they meet required standards
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a fitter or similar role in the construction or manufacturing industry
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment operation
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, shape, and fit steel components
• Familiarity with different types of steel materials and their properties
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship
• Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as required
