Commissioning Engineer
Here at

Commissioning Engineerfor one of our globally established clients. They are looking for an individual to support their
Projects,
Sales,
Serviceand
Applicationteams. Ensuring that all
commissioningand
configurationsof products are completed on customer sites and at the office.
Salary:
£40,000 - £47,000
Location:
Northampton
Benefits:
£6600 Car Allowance, Company Pension, etc.
Responsibilities:
Support the Sales and Applications Team in the preparation of quotations where commissioning and automation protocols are required to ensure that correct time allocation and costs are considered.
Assist the team in the development of commissioning and automation protocols in line with the requirements of the business.
Any administration in support of the employee life cycle
Ensure that daily reports, weekly time sheets and commissioning documentation are completed accurately and promptly.
Assist management with the identification and minimisation of risk through the creation, implementation, and regular review of appropriate RAMS documents.
Read, understand, and follow control measures identified in RAMS documents and adhere work instructions and report any items that may be incorrect or missing.
Estimation of required timing required to specify and implement the commissioning and automation solutions in the controller and the automation system.
Support of projects teams as required in checking order/requirement documents of the customer in relation to commissioning and automation systems, and subsequent detail for use in the relevant documentation.
If development is required to meet the scope of the request, identify, and specify the required functions forthe development team.
Checking and validating the installed software functions and installing the customer-specific software on the hardware for internal checkout and test of fully assembled solution.
Compilation and presentation of commissioning data.
Provide customer support and start-up support on-site to include the final acceptance procedure with the customer to achieve sign-off at the close of a project.
Delivering operator-level training courses and documentation.
Proactively promote and follow HSE practices, manage risk and take appropriate action regarding reporting and avoiding all incidents, near misses and hazards.
Requirements:
Essential
- Experience in the field of automotive and/or automation systems, specific knowledge in the area of automotive test technologies.
- Experience in using scriptbased programmable PC systems.
- Good knowledge of the English language both oral and written.
Preferred
- Diplomas or degrees in Engineering and Science
- Knowledge and experience of common programming languages.
