Description

To support the Community and Events Manager in growing income from community-based fundraising activities and to develop and deliver our growing portfolio of events.

No two days will be alike for the postholder as the role includes creatively marketing opportunities, providing top notch relationship management and detailed events organisation and logistics for both in-person (Big Fun Walk) and virtual events (Big Fun Step).


  • Support in the scoping and development of events fundraising ideas and options, including Big Fun Walk.
  • Lead on virtual event, Big Fun Step, including project planning the full event cycle from start to finish
  • Adhoc events and treks are one of the fastest growing areas of our work, owning this area look to maximise opportunities to recruit participants to a wide range of activities and provide excellent stewardship to participants.
  • Potential to lead on new products, dependent on innovation within the community and events team.


This role is fixed term (12 months), working 37.5 hours per week with a mixture of office and home working.


North London Hospice is the leading provider of end-of-life care in North London, providing specialist care to people at home, in the community and on our Inpatient Unit in Finchley.

Providing vital income for our charity are our 17 retail stores across North London, that, alongside our active fundraising team, generate much of the funds needed to run our services.

From our nursing, medical and clinical staff, patient and family support and health and wellbeing teams, cleaners & caterers to communications, finance, HR, retail and fundraising support - we all work to ensure exceptional care.
