Payroll Clerk - Hybrid Working

Bolton

£25,000 - £28,000

An opportunity to work for a firm of accountants managing the payroll for multiple businesses across a range of sectors

A Payroll Manager was brought in at the start of the year to build a payroll team; previously the accountants had managed the payroll for their clients but due to a surge in growth and more clients onboarded thanks to referrals, the Directors decided it was sensible to have a dedicated payroll team

You will join two others in the team and split a portfolio of clients between you - you will be solely responsible for these clients, managing everything from calculating statutory payments through to posting the final BACS paymentso you really are seeing the process through from start to finish.

In terms of progression, the firm is only going to get bigger So, there will be ample opportunity to build your portfolio as well as helping to train and develop new starters as the business continues recruiting.

This is a firm that listens to its staff - when I spoke with the Payroll Manager she essentially said the Directors value the employees' opinions over anything else They involve them in meetings and decisions and have listened to their calls for flexibility / remote working - something that worked amazingly for them throughout the pandemics
