Urgently required:
SEND Teacher for Alterntaive Provision school in South Bristol


We are currently working with a Secondary SEMH Alternative Provision School in Bristol and we are recruiting for a long term SEND Teacher with EBD/SEMH Experience to work with young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties in secondary phases.

The role involves teaching KS3 & KS4 students in their small setting and it would be preferable to find someone who has experience teaching lower level/KS3 Maths, Science or English.

The school is an Alternative Provision school that offers a specialist provisioncatering for pupils with EBD/SEMH and Attachment Disorders.

They require a Teacher with experience of working with learners with challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties and someone who is compassionate and engaging.

The provision caters for approximately60 students who are working at lower levels academically. We can offer full time and part time opportunities to suit your needs.

It is beneficial to have:

  • Experience teaching young people with EBD in the past or have worked in very challenging mainstream schools.
  • Preferably will have experience of teaching lowerlevel Maths,English, or Science, but this isn't essential.
  • Strong Behaviour management


  • QTS

  • Secondary is preferred but not essential if you have good experience of working with young people with EBD and are confident to lead and teach small classes of secondaryaged students.
To join us in this role as a SEND Teacher in Bristol, you will need to:

  • Have experience of working with young people or young adults with SEMH or EBD at a school, respite or care setting.
Team-teach or other behaviour management training is ideal but not necessary for the right experience in other related settings

  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
