About the role:


We have exciting news we are expanding our Supply Chain team and seeking an experienced Administrator to join us as our brand-new Supply Chain Administrator.


The role of the Supply Chain Administrator will play an integral part of the Supply Chain team by providing effective administrative support and being responsible for sourcing suppliers and requesting quotations.


Within this role you will ensure that purchase orders are placed in a timely manner, suppliers are managed effectively, co-ordinate product supply, and supporting the team by ensuring our ERP database is up to date.


This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with our external suppliers as well as our internal teams which include: Programme Managers, Engineering, Finance and Operations.


The main responsibilities will include:

  • Placing and expediting nonproduction Purchase Orders
  • Verifying and updating data within the database for production parts
  • Creating and updating monthly reports, primarily using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Supporting the Material Planner in generating data for capacity planning within the supply chain and identifying supply constraints and actions to mitigate risk
  • Supporting the Supply Chain team in addressing invoice queries with suppliers and updating the procurement system as needed
  • Supporting SC Team meetings and participating in activities to improve the performance of the team and the wider business
  • Adhoc additional tasks required by the line manager

About the person:


  • Strong administrative experience within a similar role in a busy professional environment
  • Able to enter and process data in a timely fashion with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in MS Office, in particular MS Excel (can use and construct basic formulas, analyse data sets and generate graphs from data).
  • Good numerical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially to be able to communicate externally with suppliers and internally with colleagues
  • Good time management skills along with the ability to prioritise your workload effectively
  • Great problemsolving skills and the ability to come up with creative solutions
  • Able to work within a team, take direction from others and collaborate effectively
  • A selfstarter with a positive attitude, is flexible and is comfortable in a changing environment
