Role Associate Consultant/Consultant
Reporting to Associate Director/ Head of H&S
Direct reports None
Hours Full Time
Location Office based in Swansea/hybrid working available.
Salary £27,000 - £35,000 per annum
Geographical area South & west Wales
Primary Purpose of the role
To undertake regular H&S site inspections for clients, create reports based on H&S site inspection findings, liaise with clients on general H&S related queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out reviews of site project information and construction drawings, and identification of design, construction and maintenance risks through design risk reviews.
- Attending with senior team member of the team, client meetings as required throughout projects.
- Visiting sites as required by clients or projects.
- Undertake H&S site inspections.
- Promote all GHC services to new and existing clients.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations and materials, including PowerPoint slides.
- Coordinate and distribute relevant Project Information to clients and team members, using company format.
- Understanding of SSIP; Constructionline, PQQ etc.
- You will help to grow the awareness of the company through attendance to industry events and networking opportunities.
- Contribute to the H&S department growth by identifying new clients and assist with retaining existing clients.
- Logging all working time spent on our time tracking system to ensure accurate client invoicing as well as understanding capacity and efficiencies within the team.
- Contact clients to request information for projects.
- Handling and managing project information and using our internal client system to store all client information.
- To liaise with all team members to ensure the tracker is maintained and kept up to date.
- Become conversant with relevant regulations and guidance and how to interpret them for specific projects.
- Work with your team to develop your own Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Plan.
- To answer the phone in a professional manner "Good morning/Good afternoon greeting, how can I help? ensuring all incoming calls are responded to in a timely manner, and ensuring messages are passed onto the relevant person.

Professional Skills/Experience Required
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Confident presenting training material to groups of people
- Experience in a sales background, contacting companies to generate additional business.
- A commercial focus with an ability to understand things from a client's perspective.
- The ability to prioritise your workload to meet agreed deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail with a desire to produce a high standard of work.
- The ability to proofread and sense check your own work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable you to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Passion for working in and improving the Construction Industry.
- A driving license and your own serviceable car will be beneficial to enable you to carry out assessments on site, with a willingness to travel.
Education / Qualifications:
- Obtain CSCS card.
