We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Midwife to join our friendly, credible and dynamic maternity team on the Lindo Wing Private Maternity Unit.


The Maternity unit at the Lindo Wing, is part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and was one of the first Trusts in London to gain an excellent CQC rating.

Our small maternity unit has been providing the best private obstetric and neonatal care for mothers and their babies for over 75 years.

Please note it is an operational requirement to comply with infection prevention and control procedures within the Trust such as lateral flow testing, handwashing and the wearing of masks, according to the procedures in place at any time or location.

As part of our continued response to Covid19 we are still conducting the majority of our interviews virtually.


The post holder will provide a full range of health education and social care advice in a variety of environments to women, pre-conceptually, antenatally, and through the intrapartum and postnatal period.

The post holder will work autonomously within guidelines and the sphere of professional practice.


The post holder will provide midwifery advice to support and facilitate high quality, individualised care to women and their families without supervision in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder will work with the senior midwife in the management of the clinical area. This will involve dealing with complex situations and having to take appropriate action in emergency or unforeseen situations.

The post holder will act as a mentor for less experienced staff.


Following progression through the foundation gateway, the post holder will be supported to develop the skills and knowledge to progress through the second gateway when they will be expected to carry out all relevant duties without supervision, as delegated by line manager.
