The People Analytics team, sitting in the HR organisation, is at the forefront of developing Data & Analytics solutions at JLR.

Thriving in an exciting & fast-paced environment and a highly collaborative team, the People Analytics Developer is a highly analytical individual, working with modern tech stacks (Tableau, Google Cloud (BigQuery)) and with access to great growth and developmental opportunities.

The "goal of the goal" is to provide better analytics tools and insights to Leaders across JLR enabling them to make better decisions.


The People Analytics developer is required to be a critical thinker, to effectively convert key insights from the data into recommendations that drive meaningful discussion/action (the "so what" and the "now what"), to analyse requirements from stakeholders and translate them into design specifications, use the design specs to develop insightful and meaningful analytics solutions.

The People Analytics Developer is responsible for effective solution testing using comprehensive test specifications to minimise bugs in production.


The People Analytics Developer builds effective partnerships with stakeholders throughout the organisation to understand business processes, what does/doesn't work, where opportunities exist that analytics products could support, to guide stakeholders on how to use the tools and to support increased data analytics maturity across JLR.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing dashboards using Tableau
  • Restructuring datasets using SQL within GCP BiqQuery
  • Develops insights based on data that can be used by stakeholders to support recommendations and drive action.
  • Embraces formal problemsolving techniques (eg 5 Why's, fishbone, etc )
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and data scientists to design and implement high quality data architecture and pipelines.
  • Drive the upskilling of HR stakeholders in data understanding, interpretation and insights to enable effective data driven processes and decisions.
  • Building processes to cleanse data to align formats, architecture, etc
  • Support the maintenance, improvement and expansion of data sets contained in GCP, to meet business requirements and uphold data privacy / quality requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED


A successful Data Analytics Consultant needs to be a critical thinker and effectively convert key data insights in recommendations and have the ability to tell a story with data that drives meaningful discussion and action.


Essential:


  • Proficiency in building dashboards within Tableau, Power BI or similar
  • A solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • Competence in formal design & testing processes/documentation.
  • Ideally, a university level formal education or relevant work experience in data analytics, computer science, statistics, AI or similar.
