In line with the Five Year Forward Plan for Mental Health and an exciting transformation program of services, we are expanding our existing Home Based Treatment services.

Greater Manchester Mental Health Service are recruiting Band 7 Mental Health Practitioners at our Central Manchester Site


We are looking for 'can do', motivated Band 7 Mental Health Practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds including CAMHs to join us.

You will be actively supported to develop as a mental health professional, building on your existing experience and knowledge.

The HBT operates 24/7 to provide responsive mental health care in the community setting, delivered by experienced and established multidisciplinary teams.

We aim to provide an alternate to hospital admission and care for service users in the least restrictive way.

As a Trust, we are committed to our services delivering models that are clinically led, operationally partnered and academically informed.


You will be a senior team member providing clinical leadership, leading within our MDT meetings, and on clinical decision making within the service.

You will support junior staff through supervision and service development.


Key duties will include:


  • Overseeing the clinical management for the patients, reviewing the practice of other staff.
  • To develop and maintain relationships and pathways with other services.
  • Act as a Gatekeeper, reviewing referrals for acute care.
  • To participate in the local on call manager rota for GMMH
  • Line management and clinical supervision of staff members.
  • Providing training in house and as directed to other services within the directorate.
