Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Southampton
  • Primary, Secondary and Specialist Schools
  • Fulltime, Monday-Friday
  • Termtime only
  • Immediate or September Start
  • Opportunity for permanent positions


As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will often be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis to help them maintain the pace of learning, track their progress, and manage behaviour.

You will be working with children both across the classroom setting supporting the class teacher, as well as on a 1:1 basis with learners that may need additional support.


This is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate who is looking to gain school experience before progressing into teaching.

The schools have supported Teaching Assistants in the past to gain their qualifications and who are now valued teachers in the area.

If you are thinking about potentially doing a PGCE at some point, this would be an ideal opportunity for you.


What we're looking for?

  • Bachelor's Degree (2:2 or above)
  • Reliable and passionate about teaching
  • Available for an immediate or September 2024 start
  • Available to attend any trials/interviews over the coming few weeks
