About The Role:

***DAS Law is a unique law firm for many reasons, the very first being that we form part of the DAS UK Group which has been helping businesses and individuals gain access to justice for over 40 years. The DAS UK Group includes both a legal expense insurance company and a law firm - DAS Law. Together, our customers receive an outstanding service which we are proud to provide.

At DAS Law we specialise in employment law, personal injury, litigation and dispute management, and business and commercial matters. We also offer our customers access to a legal advice line.

The employment law department at DAS Law is well established and is currently made up of Solicitors/Chartered Legal Executives, Paralegals, Graduates and Legal Assistants.

We have an exciting opportunity for a
Technical
Senior Associate Solicitor to join our team.

As a Technical Senior Associate, your role is crucial to ensure the success of the business by providing effective supervision to develop our fee earners and providing technical input to manage cases to conclusion focusing on the right outcome for our clients.

You will join our dynamic management team which is made up of a Partner, Principal Associates and Senior Associates.

You can look forward to leading a team who handle a diverse and challenging contentious caseload; we act on behalf of Claimants and Respondents from the very point a dispute arises right through to trial so no two days are ever the same.

You can also look forward to a department which boasts a wealth of experience, unrivalled support and opportunities to grow and develop which are actively encouraged.

You can also immerse yourself into the fun and friendly social activities regularly organised by the department and by the wider business.

In the role of a Senior Associate, you can expect to:

  • Lead, motivate and support a team of fee earners in order for them to meet their objectives and to provide the high standard of service to our customers that we strive to achieve;
  • Provide technical supervision to a team of fee earners

What We Do:

The employment law department deals with all aspects of employment law, from advising an employee on pursuing an unfair dismissal claim, or a claim for unpaid wages, to defending claims of whistleblowing and discrimination on behalf of Respondents.

Whilst we have longstanding relationships with various Chambers across the Country, we conduct our own advocacy on a regular basis.

As well as acting for employees and employers during the litigation process, we also provide advisory HR services such as drafting contracts and policies, or providing a business with guidance and support to businesses through the complexity of employment law requirements.

We encourage early responsibility with a real emphasis on creating opportunities to promote our lawyers from within the team; you can expect to join an organisation that will challenge and develop you to progress your career in ways that traditional law firms cannot.

As a business we have a 'career pathway' in place which will enable you to develop in your career all the while becoming an expert in employment law and the skills required in the role such as with negotiating.

We are also committed to supporting continued professional development and promote both internal Training Contracts and alternative routes to qualification.

About You:

***- Prior experience of supervising and/or managing a team;

  • The ability to work collaboratively;
  • An excellent working knowledge of employment law and procedure;
  • The ability to manage a contentious caseload; and
  • Excellent client care skills

There are exciting times ahead for DAS Law as part of the wider DAS UK Group and we are looking for likeminded individuals who share our ambition to make our high quality legal solutions accessible and affordable.

As a team we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do. Our people are encouraged to think independently and to take ownership of their work. You will be agile in the way that you work and adaptable to change.

In return for your commitment we will offer you generous remuneration and an attractive benefits package, including:
