We are currently recruiting a number of experienced Project Directors to join our international Utilities client in Warwick.

The UM Development Directors are seen internally and externally as the faces of the projects, and the "go-to" contact for up to dateinformation, lines-to-take and strategic direction on all aspects of the project through until its Final Regulatory Approval.

Delivers UM Development Project(s) for the relevant phases in the investment lifecycle to meet or exceed the outline business plan, on time and to budget, to the agreed quality standard, and in a way which ensures consistency with all applicable legislationand regulations.
Develops project(s) within the safety framework to maintain a record of excellence in safety throughout the project lifecycle
Strategic project direction in order to identify interfaces and interdependencies between workstreams and direct and manage project priorities accordingly to deliver projects against agreed timelines, within budget and with continual business case improvementat the fore
Single point of accountability for project delivery for the agreed stage(s) of development in accordance with project mandate.
Responsible for building and managing an appropriate and agreed activity plan, resource requirement and budget to meet the UM Outcome within the Scope of Authority.
Senior representation and stakeholder building for internal and external parties e.g. Regulator, Government etc. Acts as the companies primary point of contact for the UM, both internally and externally, consistent with the broader company framework forcoordinating relationships with key external parties (such as Ofgem) or representing the project e.g. in media interviews or local presentations.

Skills & Experience Required

Appropriate experience in team leadership and team management
Appropriate experience in project delivery, experience in taking projects to financial close is desirable
Expertise in management and influencing of all stakeholders
Appropriate experience in development of regulatory investment cases
Knowledge of and experience implementing best practice project management techniques to deliver large and complex projects; positive experience managing resources in a matrix structure is advantageous
