The main purpose of this role is to aid the capital delivery team in the delivery of schemes of work and one-off improvements, relating to fire safety through on-site supervision of schemes.


You will ensure quality and delivery, of fire safety related works to the housing stock managed by Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing, through inspection, quality control monitoring/reporting and coordination of works on site.

Supervision of direct labour and external specialist contractors will form part of your daily tasks, ensuring compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other relevant legislation.


  • Knowledge and experience in delivery of schemes of work through high challenge high Support methods.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and its implications relating to complex residential buildings
  • Extensive experience of surveying, preparing schedules of work, quality control inspections and report writing
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety at an operational level
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of the Building Regulations, Disabled Access, Fire, Asbestos, CDM and Health & Safety Legislation
