  • To have sound knowledge of the EYFS
  • To understand the roles & responsibilities of being a key person
  • To ensure their key children are making steady progress in their learning and development
  • Be a good role model to the children
  • Take responsibility for the health, security and safety of the children attending the nursery
  • Confidence when talking to parents during feedback and parents' evenings
  • To always portray the nursery in a positive way

Duties

  • Safe guarding
  • Observing and planning and tracking development of children
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with parent/carers
  • Nappy changing
  • Bottle feeding
  • House keeping
  • Staff meetings
  • Adhering to policies and procedures
  • Training
  • To implement appropriate planning, activities to ensure the allround needs of each child is met.
  • To ensure that health and safety issues are dealt with, and the security of the children and staff are met.
  • To help with the cleaning routines of the nursery as and when necessary.
  • To ensure cleaning and hygiene routines are adhered to.
  • To supervise nursery activities and routines, giving specific support and advice to children and other staff when needed.
  • To ensure that routines are adhered to and appropriately planned for.
  • To encourage involvement of parents and carers with the implementation of the curriculum.
  • To assist with the care and maintenance of furniture, toys, equipment, and resources.
  • To undertake emergency first aid if necessary, within your capability.
  • To attend staff meetings and team meetings when ever necessary.
  • To actively participate in training programmes
  • To ensure all reports are done within your base room, and communication with parents around their child's development.
  • To follow all nursery policies and procedures.
  • To leave the nursery ready for the following session, ensuring that plans are ready to be implemented and resources are available.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as seen fit by your line manager.

QUALIFICATION
Minimum Level 2 and level 3 in Child care


EXPEREINCE
Minimum 1 year of experience

Requirement DBS check


SCHEDULE
8 HOUR SHIFT


Nursery Timings:

  • 7:30am 6:00 pm
4 days a week shifts

48 hours a week
