Description
To assist the band 4 Specialty Co-ordinator in running the busy Rheumatology administration office at Basingstoke hospital.

  • Excellent administration skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Motivation to complete all tasks in a timely fashion
  • The ability to communicate in a friendly and approachable manner
Delivering an administrative service to our clinicians, assisting with all admin tasks. Keeping and maintaining patient records in line with trust standards.

Providing a competent administrative service and will be required to have a robust knowledge of systems used in Administration. The post holder will need to ensure the efficient delivery of the admin service and all associated administrative tasks.


The post holder will also be required to support the Specialty Coordinator and wider clerical team within the service and deputise for the Speciality Coordinator as and when required.

By joining our team you will contribute to the provision of an effective secretarial service, your main role being to provide comprehensive organisational and secretarial support with clinical letters, admin support to the consultants and their wider team as well as communicating with external healthcare services.

This will include typing of clinical consultations and general correspondence, appointment bookings and dealing with telephone enquiries.
