Summary

Looking to take your first step in education? We are looking for a dedicated and detail-orientated individual to join Harris Academy Clapham as SEN & ALG Administrator.

Working under the instruction and guidance of the SENCO and Vice Principals to provide general administrative to the school, you will either have experience in an administrative role or looking to take your first step in an administrative support role within an educational environment.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the SEN register under the direction from the SENCO
  • Creating analyses of behaviour data of SEN students
  • Under the direction of the SENCO, managing the update of One Notes/IEPs
  • Keeping minutes of all SEN team meetings and SEN TA meetings
  • Managing ordering of all necessary resources for the SEN department
  • Managing the filing of all paperwork pertaining to SEN students
  • Organising the timetables of SEN students receiving support from external agencies
  • Ensuring that all necessary paperwork for SEN requirements is copied/replenished and accessible to relevant staff
  • Ensuring that all communication with external stakeholders is completed accurately, coherently and in a timely fashion
  • Organising marketing and catering for events
  • Assisting the SENCO with SEN data analysis, provision maps and associated costing
  • Assisting the SENCO to create Annual Review packs and High needs funding packs
  • Sending a weekly bulletin to ALG and the SEN team
  • Presenting a professional and welcoming face of the Academy to all visitors, staff and students, including telephone callers
  • Managing queries from parents/carers and the general public with exemplary professionalism, ensuring that any messages or complaints are immediately forwarded to the appropriate member of staff

Qualifications & Experience
We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • GCSE mathematics and English at grade C or above and relevant level 3 qualification
  • Training in the use of a variety of ICT packages
  • Knowledge of procedures for entering data on a central management information system
  • At least a year's experience working in school or educational establishment
  • Working in an inner city school
  • Experience of working to targets and deadlines
