The Role


Reporting to Project Management, the Project Administrator will be responsible for assisting with the execution and delivery of engineering projects that meet the quality standards, budget, and timeline of both the client and HG Comms.


With the support of the project team, you will liaise with internal stakeholders, including managers, engineers, and supervisors, to ensure that project objectives, scopes and requirements are clearly defined and aligned with organisational goals.

You will also monitor, report, and collate information so that aids the project team to achieve optimal results.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with the internal Project team providing them with regular updates and feedback exposing yourself to all aspects of the projects we undertake.

You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the project team by sharing best practices, lessons learned and innovative ideas.

This role will be based from our office based in Burton on the Wolds, Leicestershire.


Key Responsibilities for the role:


  • Uphold quality standards in personal workmanship by following the best practices, guidelines, legislation and HGC processes.
  • Attend regular conference calls and face to face meetings with the project team to be set specific tasks related to the project requirements and executing them with an agreed time frame.
  • Meeting operational targets set by the management team by adhering to the HGC policies, standards, and values, and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and quality.
  • Support the Project team in liaising with other internal departments, where appropriate, to support the project for the best outcome of the customer and business.
  • Vigilantly monitor the progress of project programme and documentation.
  • Supporting the project team on information gathering and tracking where required.
  • Have exceptional attention to detail by checking and verifying all Project documentation documents for accuracy, and consistency.
  • Clear and detailed communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Process and information received to effectively manage expectations so reports can be generated, planned progress accurately tracked and verified accordingly.
  • Directed by the Project Manager the role will work closely with the Project Coordinator to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Updating of relevant trackers created under the PMO process with information received.

Desirable, but not essential:


  • Knowledge of Traffic Management and NRSWA, and relevant codes of practice
  • Good working knowledge of Symology/Street Manager and permitting systems
  • Experience of working in the telecommunications / utilities industry

Salary:
Up to £24,500.00 per year

  • Strong administrative skills: 2 years (required)
  • Coordination: 1 year (preferred)
